Holden and daddy did pretty good this mother's day. I got flowers at work on Friday. Then this morning I received a really sweet card, a gift card for a massage and best of all a James Avery ring with Holden's initials engraved. I love it. The perfect mommy ring.
After some fun with mommy, it was time to hang out and talk with Grammy. First we gave her the mother's day gift that Holden made. He is very talented, at such a young age.
She really liked it. Now here's the story on the art work. My mom LOVES her flowers. Me on the other hand, I kill everything I've ever planted, definitely did not get my mom's green thumb. So, I thought it would be cool to start a tradition of making Grammy something she can use in her flower beds. So I bought one of those kits. They don't list an appropriate age group that should be using the kits. It should warn that a 3 month old probably wont cooperate when it comes to making a hand or foot print in concrete. Just saying. Needless to say, Grammy's first stone just has her name, a heart, Holden's initials and the date. Hopefully next year Holden will understand what Mommy is trying to do when I try to pry his hand open and stick it in concrete. I promise, he was not hurt during the making of this lovely gift.
After gifts we had some play time. We recently started using the Jumparoo. He loves it at Ms. Linda's so I thought it was time to get ours out at home. So that's was Daddy's honey do for his day of this past week. Holden loves it. He just laughs at all the lights and sounds.
I am so very blessed to have such a loving husband and a baby boy that just admires me and loves me in such as way that only I can understand. He is my angel boy. Thank you for making me a mommy! Holden, you are the light of my life and I look forward to every moment with you.
