Holden James Hunt
"He'll never learn to whisper and his face will not be clean
You'll tie his shoes a thousand times and patch up all his jeans
He'll never walk when he can run and he'll climb up all the trees
Before he's ten you'll have kissed a hundred skinned up knees
He'll throw the ball inside the house...never in the yard
He'll break your priceless treasures and leave the junk unmarred
You'll wonder in your secret times if this is really all there is
Just peanut butter and jelly and one goodnight kiss
But when he's sick you'll sit beside his bed the whole night through
And pray God grants one more day for him to spend with you"
As I sit and write this, I'm teary eyed. I cannot wait to hang this in his nursery. Thank you!
