Need to play a little catching up here. It's funny how with your first child you take a million pictures, document every little thing they do however, time seems to just get away from you when you are spending most of your time ensuring that your child is safe, not getting into EVERYTHING and spending what little down time you have resting since you know that just right around the corner is another little stinker that will be just as active and busy as your first one. But what a blessing it is to have such a sweet momma's boy and another one on the way!
I really wanted to do a gender reveal party for Baby H2, but Daddy was not having it. I'm not sure that it was because he really just isn't into that sort of thing or the fact that he didn't want to have to wait to know that not only was he able to make ONE boy, but yet TWO! But I still go to have a little fun with it.
My appointment was Friday, Nov. 30th @ 9:00 AM. I was 19 weeks that day. Grammy came with us too, so she could see with her own eyes and of course document the occasion for us.
I was the first appointment for our sonographer that morning and she was excited to see that it was me, cause apparently I am a good patient and easy to work with! They had just gotten a new machine and she was getting used to all of its features etc. It was nice for us, cause it meant an extra long appointment and more viewing time of Baby H2. Of course, Baby H2 had other plans.
Elizabeth, our sono tech, knew that we were there to find out the sex so she went straight to the "important" parts. Little did we know that, "And there "it" is" would be the ONLY time that the little stinker let us see the family jewels. By the time she finished gathering all the other important stats and went back to show us just one more time that Baby H2 was in fact a BOY he had it covered with not 1 but 2 hands! And would not move them for anything. So, I'm going off the fact that Elizabeth was 100% correct with Holden and has not been wrong once in all her years of service. (But......this momma has an appointment for a 3D sonogram in a few weeks, courtesy of a good friend who let me in on a little secret that you can get a FREE 3D sonogram if you "volunteer" for nurses that need training on the equipment, thank you Sandy!)
But we are over the moon with joy, to know that we are having a healthy baby boy and that Holden will be a big brother. Baby Hayes Ellis Hunt! They will be about 26-27 months apart and will get to grow up together and be best buddies.
About the name: Hayes was a mutual agreement, as we knew that we wanted to stick with the "H's." When we named Holden we always knew that the middle name would be James, as this was a name in both mine and Chuck's family. As we were thinking about other family names, we realized that both boys could have our mom's maiden names, so we agreed on Ellis. So, there we got Hayes Ellis.
