Happy 9 Months~ My Little Pumpkin

Holden turned 9 months this past Monday.  Its hard to believe that he is as old as the months that I carried him.  I remember every moment of my pregnancy with him.  The day I found out I was pregnant, the first time I felt him flutter, when we found out she was a he, all the way until the wee hours of the morning when my water broke.  Every moment a wonderful memory.  I am so in love with my sweet angel.  Each day I learn more and more how strong the bound is between a mother and her baby boy.  Holden might say "dadda" but he is and will always be momma's boy.

Happy 9 months sweet boy.

STATS:
Weight: 22 lbs 9.6 oz (80%)
Height:  29" (75%)

He is a mover and a shaker these days.  You leave him in one spot and find him in another.  He has started to stand without holding on, not but for a few seconds, but still getting pretty brave.  He also side shuffles when holding on to something, so its only a matter of time before he takes his first steps.  He has learned to wave bye-bye when prompted and he gives the best kisses.  Such a mans man too, he'll give momma, Grammy and GG (Great Grandmother) kisses when asked, but he wont give daddy kisses.

Words:  Dada, duck, nunna (which I think means momma) and he has another sound he makes a lot and I think it is puppy, but still working on that one.

Foods: has has eaten all baby food, hasn't turned his nose up to anything.  He has had mashed potatoes, loves avocado.  We give him peas, cut up carrots and roman noodles.  He also likes grilled chicken.

We really didn't celebrate 9 months like we normally do with our "9 Months" sign.  We'll do that tomorrow hopefully.  Monday was busy day, as Holden had to have a minor surgery to fix his private area.  Nothing to worry about, he is doing fine!  He was such a trooper, never shed a tear.

We enjoyed this afternoon with some family time at the Pumpkin Patch. Here are a few of my favs:

Such as stinker.

6'5" and Bulletproof

And he looks darn good.  My little tooter bug......

BIG TEX~ STATE FAIR OF TEXAS 2011

Chuck and I have made it a tradition of going to the State Fair every since we began dating.  Now, we get to enjoy one of our favorite places with our little man.  I think he just took it all in this go round.  But next year, look out.  The petting zoo, barnyard, dog show etc will have a whole new meaning to The Hunt's.  I'm actually counting down the days until our next State Fair adventure.  But until then, just a few pics to document the occasion.

Enjoying the a/c inside the car show

I think he was eye balling a Fletcher's corn dog.

Story time

Very sleepy after a long day at the Fair

8 months.........9/24/2011

Seems like time just goes right out the window these days.  Just to get everyone caught up, now that we're almost to 9 months, figured I'd better get a move on.

Holden is just amazing.  Each day he learns and discovers something new.  Crawling is almost a past time, I think he'll be walking before we know it.  But for now, he is enjoying learning to realize that crawling gets him from point A to point B.  And that if Momma is busy and I fuss, she talks to me and I can follow her voice until I find her.  Long were the days when I could put Holden in one spot and know if I turned away for a second, he'd still be there.  Not so much the case these days.  Zeus seems to like it though.  Holden went from being this little creature that sat there and made noise, to a little creature that now crawls on Zeus, pulls at his ears, tries to kiss him and slobbers more than Zeus ever thought he could.  But we love em' both very much.

Holden is 21.10 lbs and 29.5" long

He eats everything. There is no fruit or veggies that he turns away from.  We're starting to introduce some chicken, turkey and finger foods.  Real food really, green beans, peas and bananas that he can pick up, versus just baby food.

He LOVES his "stand-up" toys.  The ones that he can sit up, pull up and stand up at.  I feel like I need to pad everything, cause in Holden's eyes everything is "little tykes" or "fisher price."  Before long everything in my house will be covered with pool noodles, seriously, I read it in one of my parent magazines.  Tips from mom's, use pool noodles, slice them and fit them over sharp edges.

My favorite.  Hard at work cleaning dishes.  Chubby wittle legs, could just eat him.
Its hard to believe that he is almost as old as the time it took for him to grow in my tummy.  Every day is such a blessing with him.  I'm very thankful to also have the opportunity to work from home managing a field team again.  This gives me more time at home with my little angel boy.  Don't have to rush out the door each morning.  Have more cuddle time.
