One of the best parts of my day is going in and waking Holden up in the morning. He is such a happy baby and just brightens my day. Just wanna kiss those sweet cheeks all day long!

Mommy and Holden
I LOVE pictures. Most importantly I love capturing moments that I'll be able to look back on forever from now and remember all the special times I shared with my little tooter bug. Most times, its me behind the camera snapping as Holden and Daddy make memories. So for Holden's 6 months and for my birthday, we'll keep my age out of this post, after all its about Holden and not me; I wanted to have our pictures taken. Not just regular pictures, but ones that truly captured the relationship and bond that I have with my son.
Holden is the greatest accomplishment that I'll ever achieve. He is the light of my life, my angel boy. I am so very thankful to have been blessed with such an amazing little family. I think God every day that I get to cherish with my little man. Thank you Krissy for capturing some of the most precious moments between a Momma and her baby boy.
Just a few of my favorites~

Steady Does It
No, he's not walking.....yet. But he is sitting up like a big boy! Still a little wobbly, but much improvement in the past week.
This was last week, he needed a prop to keep him from falling forward on his face. And now....
He can sit himself up straight without falling forward. Please excuse the nasty bib. That looks so
yucky. Daddy's just there for a little support in case he were to fall backwards, but for the most part its all him. He'll be crawling before we know it. He's already planking, then gets that little booty up in the air. But those little chunky monkey legs just don't seem to want to get up underneath to take off in a full crawl. We're working on it though.

Holden's Food Journal
Holden had his 6 month check up a few weeks ago and we received the green light to introduce some baby food. We've been successfully eating oatmeal and rice cereal for a few months and were super excited about the new adventures we were about to experience as we started to introduce different flavors of food.
We started with something simple, green beans. Needless to say that didn't go over so well. The first night was just a few bites to get him thinking about the idea of new taste. The second night, he was gagging!
The one positive outcome----at least he didn't spit it back at me :)
Our second introduction was with sweet potatoes! Holden loves him some sweet potatoes. Never even phased him. I think the funniest part of our sweet potato trial was daddy singing the sweet potato song in the background.
Bananas were also a favorite going in. Not so much coming out! Let's just say that there were a lot of diapers sacrificed as a result. Not sure why, but we didn't capture the banana tasting.
Most recently, carrots! I think my kid loves anything orange! Carrots were a success! Yummmm. I can't wait for him to start saying that after each bite. Right now, he just opens up for us to shovel it in.
That's all for now in the adventures of Holden's food tasting. Stay tuned for what's up next????
