Although the little guy isn't here just yet, he got to experience a few first this weekend. We started the weekend cheering on the Texas Ranger's in Game 3 of the playoffs, which didn't turn out so well. BUT, we were rockin' the itty bitty Ranger's shirt. I didn't get a picture, but needless to say, momma and Holden barely fit in the little shirt. But hey, at least we were wearing it.
Then Sunday, we enjoyed the beautiful day at the Cowboys vs. Titans game. We tailgated with Jearold and Cari, then enjoyed our end zone seats, just a few rows up from the field. Thank you Mel and Dorana!

Man, I think I grew overnight. |
We ended the weekend with a visit to the State Fair. Chuck and I go each year on Columbus Day. This year however was a little crazy. It took us 2 HOURS to get there! Traffic was horrible. But, our good friend Rusty was happy that traffic was bad. For him, these are the best fair days. Rusty is the Director of the fair, so more traffic means more people at the fair. When we finally arrived, we enjoyed ourselves though. We meet up with David, Bekah and Dalton and a little later Chris and Cody.
We saw all the normal stuff, had a Fletcher's corndog, some Twister Tators and an ice cream cone to cool off. It was a wonderful day outside.
We left around 5:00 or so and made it home in less than an hour. Traffic was pretty light considering we left during rush hour. We spent the rest of the night relaxing. I definately needed it too. Holden let me know the whole way home how ready he was for me to lay down. After we walked all around the football stadium yesterday, then 4 hours at the fair, he was tired of me walking. Zeus was ready for us to be home too. He acts like he was out running the streets all weekend.
