I have the most peculiar dog. So, we normally keep the guest bedroom doors shut. Not really sure why, but we do. So today I get home from my mom's and Zeus meets me at the door, usual. I notice that both guest bedroom doors are open, which does not surprise me. Chuck had his Fantasy Football draft last night and some of the guys stayed the night because they played golf this morning. Digress....To my surprise, the house was actually not in total disarray like last year. Last year I came home and found pizza crust behind the sofa cushions, random socks and boxer shorts on the sofa and I don't know how many beer cans scattered and stacked around my backyard. Looked like a frat party. Anyway, so back to Zeus. I keep loosing him today. Normally when I take a nap he's right in the bed next to me, but today, he continues to nap in the floor of the guest bedroom. So weird.
I even caught him laying with his head under the bed. I couldn't get my camera fast enough to catch that on, but I had to take some pics of his randomness. Please ignore the random clothes scattered on the floor. Men, just because they leave THEIR homes and wives, they forget that my home is NOT their laundry basket.

Birthday Fun 2010
So, I turned the BIG 29 Friday. It was definately a year of first for me. First birthday to celebrate with a little angel in the making, first birthday to be the actual designated driver and first or at least next to last year's celebration to come home and still have all my jewelry.
Notice the missing earring from the left ear. This was probably shortly before the right one fell out (Birthday celebration 2009)
So this year was a little less crazy. Had dinner at Jasper's on Saturday night with good friends, then spent Sunday at Mom's, having carrot cake and ice cream. Yum! Yum!

Still have both earrings. I promise, you just can't see them.
Me, after eating birthday cake. My tummy is not really this big. BAD angle.
Three generations with the 4th in the making. Me, Momma and Grandmother.
4 month check up
Had my 4 month check-up today. All went well. Haven't gained any additional weight since my last visit 3 weeks ago, heard the heart beat again. Gives me the goosebumps every time. And honestly, I'm going to start calling the doctor the "bloodsucker." I'm not going to have any blood left after this baby is born.
Then again, if my doctor looked like this?????? I dont think I would mind it as much.
Next visit is Sept. 23rd! Doc said if I was too anxious to know the sex that I could come the week before for a sonogram, but I figure we'll just knock out the 5 month check-up and finding out if we're having a BOY or a GIRL all in the same visit. Dont want to give them more opportunity to suck more of my blood.

Getting Started
Ok, so I've never really done a blog before, but I love reading my cousin's. Not sure that I can measure up to her's, cause she is so creative, but I figured I'd give it a try. Yes Amanda, I'm talking about you.
Where it all began. I fell in love with the wonderful man I now call my best friend and husband in early 2006. Charles (Chuck) and I started dating in Nov. 2005, but it wasn't until I was thousands of miles away in Miami, FL for a month that I realize how much I really wanted to be with him. From there, history began. We got engaged September 28, 2007. To my surprise, he let our summer vacation go without an engagement, my birthday in August passed without a "put a ring on it," but little did I know that his plan all along to throw me for a loop was to ask me to be his wife on HIS birthday. Good thing I said "YES!" Cause there were a lot of people there.
I married the love of my life on June 21, 2008. We had a beautiful wedding at Reflections on Spring Creek in Plano. All of our family and friends were their to celebrate with us, and boy did we. Especially at the "after party" in which some individuals, whom will remain unidentified (David Knowles), decided to get naked and jump in the hotel pool. It was quite the entertaining evening.
We purchased our first home in Sept. 2008 and we cannot wait until we welcome our first little one. YES! I'm pregnant. It was a long journey, but in the end, I know that it was actually short. God had a plan for me all along, it was all about his timing. For those of you close to us, you know how close Charles was to his dad and that we laid him to rest in March 2007. From the very beginning of our relationship I knew that Chuck would one day make an amazing father. He has such a soft spot in his heart for kids, so I knew when we started a family that I would want to tell him that he would be a daddy on his birthday (which is in Sept.) or on Father's Day. I was so excited when I got the "pregnant" result on the test the weekend before Father's Day, that I couldn't hold it in. I had to tell him. But how amazing is our God. He DOES here our prayers and he does answer them.
So I guess that brings us to today. I'll be 15 weeks on Wednesday, August 18th. Everything is going well. I have my 4 month check up on Monday and within the next few weeks we'll learn if we're having a little boy or girl. I cannot wait. I've been holding off on looking at furniture and bedding until I know if I'm picking out pink or blue.
That's it for now. If I can figure out how to add pictures, I'll get some pictures on here soon too.
