8 weeks to go........

So, I know that it's not an exact science, the whole due date thing, but hey, I'm sticking with 8 weeks until he decides to come early, or doctor takes him on time.  Here is a new belly picture at 32 weeks.

I'm feeling really good.  Started sleeping again, went through a few weeks of being propped up to being in full recliner mode in bed.  Now back to my normal side lying sleeping position.

He is still very active.  Its so funny to see his little butt poking out to one side, my belly always looks deformed.  We also had our breastfeeding class last week.  That was interesting.  Got a ton of good info though and Chuck was a good sport.  He really didn't get into the whole, "let me hold the baby doll and help you position it on your boob," but at least he payed attention and saw what I would need to do so that he can be supportive and helpful.

Looking forward to Christmas and New Years, then right around the corner I'll be a mommy!  These last few weeks are going to kill me with anticipation, but the best things come to those who are patient.  I'll keep telling myself that.

Bye for now.

Maternity Pics

So I stumbled across this really AWESOME photographer.  I wanted to take maternity pictures, but also wanted to get some really good shots of just Chuck and I.  We haven't had our pictures taken professionally since the wedding, so I thought it would be nice to have a few new ones around the house.

I was so happy with the results.  Although I'm not all that big in these pictures, I think she did a great job capturing who we are.  Here are a few of my favorites.

More Jingle

We had our friend Christmas party this past Saturday.  We always have so much fun.  We switch houses each year, but same awesome group of friends and Chinese gift exchange.  That's usually the most interesting part, finding out who gets stuck with the gag gift.  Well, there were a few funny ones this year, like one of those shake weight things.  Looks like a dumbbell, but you shake it.  If you can picture this or have seen it on TV commercials, then you understand the humor.  Then of course there is the gift that I got..........

Let's just say that someone in my current state, that being almost in my 8th month of pregnancy, doesn't really need aids in the "love" making department.  So the candles, massage oil and lubricant was a nice thought, but would have been more appealing to let's say, maybe our friends Billy and Kim.  Just sayin'.  They're dating, not married and have no kids or bun in the oven.  I tried really hard to get someone to steel it from me, but in the end, I went home with it.  Oh well, I get someone back next year.

Here are some pics of the memories that were made.  I cannot wait until next year when Holden is here to open gifts with the kids, the joy and excitement on their little faces is priceless!

Let the Festivities Begin

Well, the chaos has begun.  The holiday parties have begun.  Lindsey had her Ladies Holiday party this Saturday evening.  We had a really good time.  It was nice to see everyone and compare baby bumps.  Seems like everywhere I look I see pregnant ladies.  There are like 8 ladies expecting after the first of the year in my department.  Something is in the water.

We did something a little different this year, instead of the usual gift exchange, we played the Left, Right, Center Money game.  Everyone brings 10, $1 bills and you roll the dice.  The dice tell you which way to pass a $1.  Sometimes you get a "C" which means your $1 goes in the middle pot.  At the end of the game there is only one person left with $1, they win all the money that is in the pot.  Karry won this year!

My Little Boo Bear's Nursery

So, I've been waiting to add any pictures of the nursery until I had it all put together, but let's face it, Rome was not built in a day.  We have most everything ready.  Still have a few things to hang on the walls and Chuck is still going to build shelves in the closet, but we got the furniture in on Wednesday.  I had already washed all his bedding, because I couldn't wait any longer.  So Wednesday evening I had all the bedding in, we had arranged the furniture the way we wanted and I had his letters hung above his bed.

It was a work in progress though and lots of love to get it all ready.  We started by clearing out the room.  This room was always used for a playroom when our friends came over with kids. So we took the bookcase out and moved it to the guest room, which was good because we now have the TV in the guest room sitting on it.  Then we sold our bookcase we had in the guest room to make room for the treadmill that was in Holden's room.

Once we cleared everything out, Chuck and Uncle Bo installed the chair railing and in the weeks ahead Chuck spent his day off painting.  We didn't have to paint the top portion of the walls because they were already tan from when we painted after we bought the house.  But we did get 4 green paint samples trying to find the one that looked just right.  Then I had to run all over town to find the paint that the builder used on the trim, because we were not able to paint all the trim again and I couldn't have one room of trim not matching the other rooms.  But luckily I found it.  And just so you know, oil based paint sucks!  Not only does it stink to high heaven, but it is definitely not good for pregnant mommies to be.  But that's what the builders used, so that's what we used.

Surprise!  Came home to painted walls.

Once everything was painted, we just waited.  Then finally the past Wednesday the furniture was delivered.  I cried.  I had it delivered that morning, but had to go to work once they got it set up.  I really wanted to stay home and get everything set up.  But it was much better to wait because Chuck and I were able to do it together.

Yea!  Furniture.

It was really nice having everything somewhat set up for Thanksgiving.  It's rare that my in laws get to visit, so when we hosted Thanksgiving for the first time this year it was perfect timing for them to see the nursery too.

Turkey Day 2010

What an enjoyable day!  We had a full house; full of love, memories and blessings.  This was our first year to host Thanksgiving, might have to make it a tradition.  We had the entire Hunt/Floyd clan here, along with our friends Shawn and Brenda.  Later mom came over, as did Shane, Jamie and Jacie Jones.  We are so very thankful and blessed to have such wonderful friends and family.  Thank you Lord for the biggest blessing of all this year; our little miracle in the making, Holden James Hunt.  We cannot wait to meet you in February and see what memories and blessings we will be thankful for in 2011.
